Why take an AARP Smart Driver Class?
As with many skills practiced over the years, it’s a good idea to occasionally take the opportunity to refresh and update, look again at what used to feel like second nature and see again specific techniques for various challenging situations like making left turns across traffic, recognizing issues of right-of-way and merging, recognizing and understanding signage.
This 8 – hour class will include videos of driving situations and issues, and provide ample opportunity for discussion of how we as individuals have changed over the years just as vehicles themselves, roadways, and other essential elements of safe driving.
Within the 8 hours of this course— 4 hours each day — the intent is to discuss, learn, enjoy, and come away with renewed confidence in our own skills.
At successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate that may confirm their eligibility for a discount on their auto insurance. Consult your insurance agent/company for details.
