Morris Hudgins

We are pleased to offer a four part course in Comparative World Religions taught by Villager Rev. Dr. Morris Hudgins. He received his D.Min. from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia; and he has served at churches in Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Ohio. He has taught Comparative Religions at Florida Atlantic University and at Pellissippi State Community College.

Come and hear from Dr. Hudgins and his special guest lecturers how others see their God through different cultural and spiritual traditions.  Tuition for this four session course is $20 payable to TVPOA the first day of class.

Course Syllabus

Class 1:         Introduction and Religion in Prehistoric and Primitive Cultures

Class 2:         Religions of India—Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism, Sikhism

Class 3:         Religions of the Far East—Taoism, Confucianism, Shinto

Class 4:         Religions of the Near East—Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam
